Viking Ocean Cruises
Viking Venus was named at sea in the English Channel on May 17, 2021, as she began her inaugural voyage. Her godmother was British broadcaster Anne Diamond. The ship marked Viking's return to cruising after a 14-month pandemic pause, and her first guests embarked in Portsmouth. Built by Fincantieri in Ancona, she is part of the 930-guest class, with all-veranda staterooms, the Nordic spa and the Explorers' Lounge.
