Viking Ocean Cruises
Viking Star was Viking's first ocean ship. She entered service in 2015 and set the template for the near-identical 930-guest sisters that followed. She was christened on Norwegian Constitution Day in 2015, with Bergen mayor Trude Drevland as godmother. Her name honors the first ship of the original Royal Viking Line. She introduced features now found across the fleet, including the Explorers' Lounge, the Wintergarden and a Nordic spa with a snow grotto.
