MSC Cruises
MSC Lirica holds a special place in the fleet as MSC Cruises' first newbuild. Built by Chantiers de l'Atlantique, it entered service in 2003 and gave its name to the Lirica class, which also includes MSC Opera, MSC Armonia and MSC Sinfonia. In late 2015 it was the last of the four to be lengthened under the Renaissance Programme, growing from about 251 to 275 metres.
