Silver Moon is an evolution of sister ship Silver Muse. Fincantieri delivered her in late 2020, and she sailed her first guests from Athens in June 2021. She launched S.A.L.T. (Sea And Land Taste), Silversea's culinary program, with three dedicated venues: S.A.L.T. Kitchen, S.A.L.T. Lab and S.A.L.T. Bar. She was christened at Piraeus, with Italian winemaker Gaia Gaja as godmother.
