Silversea Cruises
Expedition
Silver Wind was delivered in February 1995 as Silversea's second ship, following Silver Cloud, and passed 30 years of service in 2025. A refit beginning in 2018 modernized her suites and public areas. A second conversion in 2021 turned her into an ice-class expedition ship with an ice-strengthened hull, ice-detecting sonar, a mudroom, a heated pool, 24 Zodiacs and 14 kayaks, all for fewer guests than before.
