Silver Shadow entered service in 2000. She and Silver Whisper are enlarged versions of Silversea's original two ships, each carrying about 392 guests. Around 2019 she completed a major refit inspired by Silver Muse: suites were renovated floor to ceiling, a new atrium was added, the Casino and Connoisseur's Corner were moved, and Lalique crystal artwork was installed in La Dame. The Panorama Lounge and pool deck also gained new furniture.
