Silver Dawn was named in Lisbon on March 31, 2022, by food and travel editor Nilou Motamed, and began her inaugural voyage the next day. She was Silversea's third new ship in nine months. As the third Muse-class ship, she debuted the Otium wellness concept, inspired by the leisure of ancient Rome. She also introduced the next version of the S.A.L.T. culinary program.
