Holland America Line
Nieuw Amsterdam began sailing in July 2010 as the second Signature-class ship, sister to Eurodam. Princess Máxima of the Netherlands christened it in Venice. It is the fourth Holland America ship to carry the name, which recalls the Dutch settlement that became New York. The ship has a forward observation lounge on deck eleven and a pool with a retractable roof.
