Carnival Cruise Lines
Mardi Gras is the lead ship of Carnival's Excel class and began sailing in July 2021. She was the first cruise ship in North America to run on liquefied natural gas (LNG). Her best-known feature is BOLT, the first roller coaster at sea. The ship is divided into six themed zones, among them the French Quarter, where Emeril's Bistro 1396 serves New Orleans-inspired food. Her sisters are Carnival Celebration and Carnival Jubilee.
