MSC Cruises
MSC Opera entered service in June 2004 after being christened by Sophia Loren in Genoa. It is the second Lirica-class ship and was MSC's flagship until MSC Musica arrived in 2006. In 2015, under MSC's Renaissance Programme, Fincantieri lengthened the ship by about 24 metres. The work added cabins, a spray park, new children's and teen areas, and an extended restaurant.
